More than 400 fire service women and men from the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan descended on north Georgia in mid-March for a great week of informative workshops, intensive networking, recruitment opportunities, career development, and just plain fun. "A Proud History" was our most successful conference to date, thanks to the support of Chief Becky Denlinger of Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services and other area chiefs and agencies. We also owe our appreciation to -- among others -- our faculty, most of whom donated their time and travel expenses; our dynamic keynote speaker, Teresa Edwards; our tirelessly hard-working conference committee; and our corporate sponsors, whose generosity made the conference possible.
