"Courage and Commitment: A Capital Experience" Friday luncheon presentation: "In the Tsunami's Wake" TShulman, a longtime WFS member, is a Disaster Mitigation Management Specialist in International Programs for the U.S.D.A. Forest Service. She has worked for the Forest Service since 1974 in a wide range of positions. At the field level, whe has been on hotshot crews, helicopters, engines, eventually serving as a battalion chief. She was the first woman ever to become a smokejumper. Since 1992, she has been involved in international fire management, research, and disaster response; she is currently program manager for a program to integrate the Incident Command System into the disaster response system of India.
